Your Brain Score is a measure of how good your brain is. It is given as two values. The first is your Percentile Rank and the second is your Brain Score Quality (BSQ). Aim to get both these values as high as possible. Your brain score will change as more people take part in the Brain Experiment. You can check your overall Brain Score as well as per-game scores on the 'My Brain' part of the website once you have registered.

Percentile Rank

There is no absolute measure of intelligence. The only way intelligence can be judged is to compare your performance against other people taking the same set of tests. The first part of your Brain Score indicates how well you have performed compared to everyone else across all the games you have  completed so far. It is expressed as a percentile rank. Your percentile rank tells you the percentage of people that scored lower than you. For example if you had a percentile rank of 65, it means that you scored better than 65% of the people taking part in the experiment.

Brain Score Quality (BSQ)

This value tells you the quality of your Brain Score in percent. What does that mean? Well, imagine somebody new to the site had only completed one of the games and achieved a Brain Score of 96 (The Brain Score is calculated from the average across all games). This is a very good Brain Score but what if that person is only good at that particular game? What if they are really bad at all the other games? It wouldn't be fair to assume they are more intelligent than another user who had a lower Brain Score but who had had played a wider variety of games. Your brain score quality increases as you play a wider variety of games. A higher brain score quality indicates that a person has played a wider variety of games and has therefore had a better mental workout than those with lower Brain Score Qualities.

You have played all possible games and consistently scored well.
